(Alliance News) - Fenix Entertainment Spa announced Tuesday that on Jan. 9, 2023, an agreement was signed with U.S.-based ClaRo Productions for a first major international film whose shooting will begin in Rome on March 1.

This is a co-production deal for the film "Here After," which will see Roberto Salerno make his directorial debut.

The film will have a budget of about EUR8 million and will shoot for five weeks.

Fenix's financial commitment is EUR2 million.

"The cast will be of international caliber; the name of the leading lady is already known, who will be played by Hollywood star Connie Britton, an actress acclaimed by audiences and critics alike. The film tells the story of 15-year-old Robin, a virtuoso piano musician, and her mother Claire, who lives for her and is her biggest fan. When Robin is the victim of a serious accident, their lives undergo a sudden change of course," the company explained in a note.

Post-production of the film will be carried out by Laser Film, a post-production company of the Fenix Group. The company, as co-producer of the film, will hold all commercial exploitation rights to the film in Italy and Italian-speaking territories.

Fenix trades in the green by 5.2 percent at EUR2.84 per share.
