11/22/2021

The 500 kV Alania substation with a capacity of 668 MVA was put into operation, which is one of the three largest supply centers in the North Caucasus.

A new high-tech power center and 500 kV outgoing transmission lines to the Nevinnomyssk substation under the control of Rosseti FGC UES in the Stavropol Krai (over 253 km) make it possible to cover the capacity deficit in the North Ossetian, Dagestan, Ingush and Chechen power systems, as well as provide the necessary export flow to neighboring states.

"Today, the Russian Government is developing models for the economic development of the North Caucasus. This work is aimed at increasing the quality of life of people and unlocking the unique potential of the regions. A reliable and efficient power grid infrastructure is essential to meet these challenges. The power facilities that we open today are iconic. They solve problems with a lack of capacity in the regions of the North Caucasian Federal District and contribute to the development of business and industry," emphasized Alexander Novak.
