EuropaCorp announced consolidated earnings results for the six months ended September 30, 2017. For the six months, the company's revenues were EUR 138.1 million against EUR 60.6 million for the same period last year. Operating loss was EUR 65.7 million against EUR 33.6 million for the same period last year. Net loss was EUR 70.6 million against EUR 27.6 million for the same period last year, This degradation is due to poor performance in theaters of the acquisitions for the US market, The Circle and Their Finest, disappointing US box-office revenues for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and impairment of assets with no cash impact. The net operating cash flows amounted to EUR 74.8 million up from net operating cash out flows in EUR 6.0 million for the first semester of the previous financial year. This high increase is due to the cashing of the Minimums Garantis relating to the delivery of the film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets to foreign distributors as well as the significant French theatrical receipts for this film.

The company considering the loss recorded on the first semester and the rest of the line-up for the second one, EuropaCorp will recognize, as already announced, a Fiscal Year 2017/2018 significantly in deficit.
