Mobily has appointed Ahmad Farroukh as its new chief executive effective from June 12, 2015. Farroukh was head of MTN South Africa, but he resigned for personal and family reasons. He would leave by the end of July 2015.
Mobily removed previous CEO Khalid al-Kaf in February 2015, who had been suspended since November 2014 when the company first revealed significant accounting issues. Deputy CEO Serkan Okandan has been serving as temporary head since November 2014.
