Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily) announced consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2012. The company's net profit amounted during the fourth quarter to SAR 1,878 million, compared to SAR 1,697 million for the corresponding quarter of the previous year, an increase of 11%. Operating profit amounted during the fourth quarter to SAR 1,902 million, compared to SAR 1,754 million for the corresponding quarter of the previous year, an increase of 8%. Revenues of the fourth quarter amounted to SAR 6,772 million compared to SAR 5,802 million for the corresponding quarter of the previous year; an increase of 17%. The growth is attributable to the rise in the data revenues up 41% on the previous year and comprising 27% of total revenues. The increase in operating profit during the fourth quarter compared to the same quarter of 2011 is attributable to the rise in data revenues.


Net profit during the full year amounted to SAR 6,018 million, compared to SAR 5,083 million for the same period of the previous year, an increase of 18%. Earnings per share for the full year amounted to SAR 8.60, compared to SAR 7.26 for the same period of the previous year. Operating profit for the full year was SAR 6,192 million against SAR 5,305 million for the same period of the previous year; an increase of 17%. The increase in full year revenues is also due to the rise in data revenues, as well as growth in the business sector and sales of smart phones. The company's revenues for the full year increased to SAR 23,642 million compared to SAR 20,052 million in 2011. The EBITDA amounted to SAR 8,591 million for the full year compared to SAR 7,454 million for the same period of the previous year, an increase of 15%.
