Eramet - Loïse Tamalgo appointed General Delegate in Gabon

Loïse Tamalgo has been appointed Eramet's General Delegate in Gabon, effective July 12, 2021. Based in Libreville, he will report to Kleber Silva, Deputy CEO in charge of the Mining and Metals Division, and to Virginie de Chassey, Executive Senior Vice-President of Sustainability & Corporate Engagement. He takes over from Gaëtan Halna du Fretay.

Loïse Tamalgo has some 20 years' experience in guiding socio-economic development projects and managing partnerships and community relations programs on the African continent.

Eramet's new General Delegate in Gabon will be responsible for supporting the development of the activities of the Group's two subsidiaries, Comilog and Setrag, under the terms of the partnership between Eramet and the Gabonese government, which was further strengthened in 2020 by the creation of two CSR funds to finance new programs for the benefit of the country's citizens. He will represent the Eramet group in Gabon and will actively work to maintain close relations with the country's authorities, government departments, NGOs and international missions.

Loïse Tamalgo is initially from Burkina Faso. He holds a master's degree (Languages Applied to Business and Tourism) and an MBA in Business Strategy. He has spent most of his career with Huawei Northern Africa Region, holding positions such as Key Account Manager for mobile operators and governments and Country General Manager for Huawei Burkina Faso (eight years), before becoming Vice President of Sales for Huawei Côte d'Ivoire Representative Office, which covers five countries (Côte d'Ivoire, Togo, Benin, Burkina and Guinea). In 2020, he was promoted Vice-President of Public Affairs for sub-Saharan Africa in Huawei Northern Africa Regional Office based in Casablanca, in charge of 22 countries, including Gabon. In this capacity, he was responsible for developing Huawei's visibility and presence in the region, defining and implementing the company's public relations, communications and CSR strategy and developing key partnerships.
