Equinor announces that it has launched test production of its third solar power plant in Poland, located in Lipno, in the province of Wielkopolskie.

This 53 MW plant, developed by Equinor subsidiary Wento, brings the company's onshore renewable energy capacity in Poland to around 200 MW.

In 2021, Equinor acquired Wento and its 1.6 GW portfolio of solar projects.
Danske Commodities, Equinor's energy trading subsidiary, markets the electricity generated by the Lipno plant. Wento has doubled its project portfolio to over 3 GW, including battery storage projects.

Equinor points out that Wento recently won bids for battery storage projects totaling 400 MW/1.6 GWh.
