For the fourth quarter, the company announced sales was USD 343.302 million compared to USD 305.195 million a year ago. Net income was USD 66.011 million compared to USD 72.429 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 1.58 compared to USD 1.76 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 1.56 compared to USD 1.74 a year ago. The Company manufactures and distributes Portland Cement, Gypsum Wallboard, Recycled Gypsum Paperboard, and Concrete and Aggregates from more than 70 facilities across the United States. Its business is organized into two sectors: Heavy Materials, which includes the Cement and Concrete and Aggregates segments; and Light Materials, which includes the Gypsum Wallboard and Recycled Paperboard segments. Its primary products are commodities that are essential in commercial and residential construction; public construction projects; and projects to build, expand, and repair roads and highways. It operates approximately eight modern cement plants, one slag grinding facility and 30 cement distribution terminals. It operates over 30 ready-mix concrete batch plants, five aggregate processing plants, five gypsum wallboard plants and a recycled paperboard mill.
