BONN (dpa-AFX) - Deutsche Telekom has announced a share buyback worth billions and a significantly higher dividend. The company, which is listed on the Dax, announced in Bonn on Thursday that it will buy back its own securities for up to two billion euros in the coming year. After paying a dividend of 70 cents per share for 2022, the Board of Management also plans to pay Telekom shareholders 77 cents per share. That is as much as analysts had expected on average.

After the news was announced, the Group's shares rose 2.7 percent and were trading at their highest level since May.

Deutsche Telekom will present its figures for the third quarter next Thursday, November 9. The important subsidiary T-Mobile US had already presented its results at the end of October./ngu/mis
