31st October 2023, Zadar

Today, the introduction of scheduled international flights operated by Croatia Airlines on the new Zadar-Munich winter route has officially been marked at Zadar Airport.

To mark the occasion, the first passengers arriving from Munich to Zadar were welcomed, after which the first passengers from Zadar to Munich were then seen off. All passengers on today's flights (OU4674 Munich-Zadar, and OU4675 Zadar-Munich) were gifted a 20-euro gift voucher redeemable against their next purchase of a Croatia Airlines ticket.

Until mid-January 2024, Croatia's flag carrier will be operating flights between Zadar and Munich twice a week - on Tuesdays, and Saturdays - aboard Dash 8-Q400 aircraft, whose seating capacity is 76 seats. Return air tickets on this route are available at promotional prices starting at 162 euros for ticket purchases made online on the company's website www.croatiaairlines.com.

Marija Pavić, Head of Sales at Croatia Airlines, pointed out the following at today's event:

- We are glad that we have introduced this new route in collaboration with the Zadar County Tourist Board and Zadar Airport. With it, we are now offering passengers from this region a direct air connection with Europe during the winter period. I believe that passengers will take advantage of this new travel opportunity, and that this joint product will contribute to the development of the tourism potential of the Zadar County, and to the success of Zadar Airport's business operations.

Josip Klišmanić, CEO at Zadar Airport, highlighted the following:

- Expanding our network of destinations in the winter flight timetable is a strategic goal of Zadar Airport. We are very happy that in achieving this goal we are greatly helped by Croatia's flag carrier, Croatia Airlines, and the Zadar County Tourist Board. We hope that the introduction of the Zadar-Munich route in the winter flight timetable is only the beginning of achieving this goal.

In the 2023/2024 winter flight timetable, Croatia Airlines is planning to increase the number of flights it operates by nearly 12 percent, and the number of seats it offers by 13.6 percent compared to the 2022/2023 winter flight timetable. In doing so, Croatia's flag carrier will be operating flights on a total of 19 international routes to a total of 13 international destinations.
