CEEE launched its substation Menino de Deus and its adjacent underground transmission line, which cost BRL 35 million (USD 15.5 million or EUR 11.3 million) to complete. The facilities are located in the company's concession area in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul and form part of the eight projects aimed at improving the power supply during the forthcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup. The power line will connect Menino de Deus substation and the existing Porto Alegre 10 substation.
