Ron Chu has been appointed as Coffey's new Chief Executive Officer after Tetra Tech's off market takeover offer was made free from conditions last week.

Ron is Tetra Tech's Executive Vice President and President of Resource Management & Energy, and will be based in Coffey's Chatswood office.

Ron has served in his current role at Tetra Tech since June 2007 and has more than 20 years of experience with the company, serving in various technical and management capacities.

He has served as president of several subsidiary companies during his tenure at Tetra Tech.

Ron said he looked forward to providing our clients with a broader service offering, tapping into a much larger global network of technical experts.

'Our combined capacity represents a tremendous opportunity for our staff and customers,' he said.

'By joining forces, we now become a global leader in international development.

'With our collective staff of more than 16,000, and 400 offices around the world, we can provide our customers full-service capabilities in the markets we serve, such as water infrastructure, environment, geoservices, and project management.'

Ron also serves on Coffey's Board of Directors. He is joined by Tetra Tech's Chairman and Chief Executive Dan Batrack, and Proteus EPCM Engineers Projects and Business Development Manager Lachlan Walker.
