Chukyo Iyakuhin Co., Ltd. (JASDAQ:4558) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 80,000 shares, representing 0.96% of the outstanding shares, at ¥282 per share for ¥23 million. Shares will be repurchased from the Tokyo Stock Exchange Off-Auction Own Share Repurchase Trading (ToSTNeT-3). The purpose of the program is to improve share value in response to the recent weakening of the stock market, taking into consideration the over-liquidation of shares following the sale of company shares by shareholders. As of September 30, 2016, the company had 8.329.863 shares outstanding and 3,330,871 shares in treasury.
