FURTHER DELAY IN DESPATCH OF CIRCULAR

Reference is made to the announcement of Chengdu PUTIAN Telecommunications Cable Company Limited (the "Company") dated 24 July 2020 in relation to the Proposed Mandate in relation to the major and connected transaction in respect of the Potential Disposal (the "Announcement"), the announcement of the Company dated 14 August 2020 in relation to the delay in despatch in circular (the "Delay Announcement") and the announcement of the Company dated 31 August 2020 in relation to the further delay in despatch in Circular ("Further Delay Announcement"). Unless otherwise specified, capitalised terms used in this announcement shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Announcement, the Delay Announcement and the Further Delay Announcement.

As set out in the Further Delay Announcement, a circular (the "Circular") containing, among other things, (i) further information of the Potential Disposal; (ii) such other information as required under the Listing Rules; (iii) a letter from the independent board committee of the Company; (iv) a letter from the independent financial adviser to the independent board committee and the Independent Shareholders; (v) valuation report; and (vi) a notice of the EGM, is expected to be despatched to the Shareholders on or before 13 September 2020.

As additional time is required to finalise the information in the Circular and to despatch the Circular, it is expected that the date of despatch of the Circular to the Shareholders will be postponed to a date falling on or before 25 September 2020.
