Endesa Costanera SA reported earnings results for the full year of 2013. For the year, the company narrowed its loss to ARS 202.2 million from ARS 447.1 million in 2012, amid improved operating results, combined with higher financial costs. The loss was mainly attributed to a substantial increase in financial costs, caused by the negative impact of exchange rates.

The company posted an operating profit of ARS 300.7 million against a ARS 209.9 million loss a year earlier, due to new contracts with wholesale market administrator Cammesa and a new scheme of remuneration for local power generators, whereby the fuel is supplied by Cammesa. The company invested ARS 423.5 million last year.
