BBX Minerals Limited announced that assaying of diamond drill holes EMD-004 to EMD-012 from its 2017 drilling programme at the Ema Project has been completed. Assays were conducted for gold, platinum, palladium, iridium, and rhodium. EMD-007 returned 1 metre at 1.72 g/t Au from 64m.

No other significant results were obtained. The holes were drilled in felsic volcanics, targeting principally gold mineralisation. Assaying of the 2017 diamond drill holes is now complete.

The 2017 drilling programme was focused on significant historical artisanal gold workings in the felsics and not in the gabbro bodies. At that time, the Company was not aware of the presence of complex Au-PGM mineralisation hosted in gabbro. The 2021 drill holes will be assayed in early 2023, including those holes drilled at the Baiano and Ema Central targets, which intersected gabbro.

The bulk surface sample EMBH-007, previously submitted for bioleaching test work as announced on 14 November 2022, was collected from the Ema Central target. Once assaying of the 2021 Ema drill holes is finalised, the Company will move back to the Tres Estados Project.
