A contract from Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) to design, build, 0perate and maintain 45MLD Capacity Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TIRO) plant at Kodungaiyur including supply and laying of DI transmission mains for conveyance of Product water to various industries in Manali area, Chennai for the value of Rs.440 Crores.

   BGR Energy forays into large size Water Treatment business

   Chennai,January 4, 2017: BGR Energy Systems Limited ("BGR Energy'') has recently won two large value contracts for Water Treatment valuing Rs.650 Crores as detailed below:

5. Rs.209.50 Crores contract for 3 x 800 MW Krishnapatnam APPDCL Project: The contract is for Water Treatment Plant package for 3 x 800 MW Unit of APPDCL, Krishnapatnam Stage 1 & 2 at Nellore, A.P. The scope of work includes manufacturing, shop inspection & testing, supply, packing & forwarding, erection, testing, commissioning and conducting contract performance guarantee testing of various equipments associated with Pretreatment, Desalination, Post Treatment and Demineralisation. The aggregate treatment capacity of these plants are more than 55 million litres per day (MLD) and these units will be completed over 23 months. The Company will also carry out O&M of these units for a period of 12 months.

6. Rs.440 Crores contract from Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewarage Board (CMWSSB) for Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) Plant of 45 MLD capacity at Kodungaiyur, Chennai. The scope includes Design, Build and Operate (DBO) of 45 MLD Capacity Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) Plant at Kodungaiyur including Supply and laying DITransmission mains for conveyance of Product water to various industries in Manali area, Chennai and subsequent O&M for 15 years.

The contract value of Rs.440 Crores consists of . Rs.235 Crores for construction of plant and transmission pipelines and Rs.205 Crores for O&M for subsequent 15 year.s. Duration of the contract is 24 months for construction and commissioning and 6 months for trial run. The Project is funded by World Bank and tender witnessed stiff qualification requirements and competition.
