Barbados Shipping & Trading Company Limited is a Barbados-based company, which together with its subsidiaries, is engaged in trading, manufacturing, services, insurance and property management. The Company's segments include the tourism and hospitality segment, which includes the Company's interests in Almond Resorts Inc., Casuarina Holdings Inc. and Lazy Lagoon Holdings Ltd; the food retailing and consumer distribution segment, which produces and supplies food products, dried goods and general merchandising products; the financial, property and other segment, which includes Company's insurance division, its property management, aviation ground handling, stevedoring, manufacturing and advertising segment, and head office and finance costs. On November 10, 2010, the Company disposed of its associated company, Bahamas Supermarkets Limited.
