Shares of energy companies fell alongside commodity prices. Oil futures ticked down, but rose almost 4% for the week.

The number of rigs drilling for oil in the U.S. fell by four this week in a third straight decline to 488, and was down by 64 from a year ago, oil-services company Baker Hughes reports.

Natural gas futures fell 2.6% Friday, the third straight loss, which dragged them into the red for the week.
