On Friday, Avenir Telecom unveiled a plan to improve its sales performance and return to growth after a 39% drop in sales last year.

The manufacturer of cell phones and accessories under the Energizer brand says the plan calls for analytical steering of sales development, directly supervised by the management committee, from opportunity generation through to product delivery.

The aim is to maximize transformation and roll out best practices across all geographic zones.

The Marseilles-based group is also aiming to implement a "key accounts" policy, again under the direct supervision of general management, aimed at maximizing opportunities with key customers, particularly in France.

Thanks to this action plan, Avenir Télécom hopes to return to growth in its 2024/2025 financial year, with a ramp-up expected in the second half of the year, thanks to the arrival of new products from the start of the 2024 school year.

"We are aware that our 2023 sales performance did not live up to expectations and the potential of our group", said Robert Schiano, its CEO.

In the 2023/2024 financial year, which ended at the end of March, the company recorded annual sales down 39% to 14.1 million euros, against a backdrop of persistent decline in the smartphone market.

Following these announcements, Avenir Telecom shares fell by more than 10% on the Paris Bourse on Friday.
