Autoliv has showcased various tools for advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS) at the ongoing CES 2017 in Las Vegas (United States). Autoliv claims that the sixth generation of its Roadscape Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) module-supporting system has the most advanced positioning sensor for the automotive market. The company has developed the product for support in North America, Europe, Russia, China, and Japan and plans to start producing it later in 2017. Autoliv also unveiled its ADAS Horizon module, which features "contextually aware" sensors to provide value to active-safety and autonomous-driving applications. Autoliv also showed its 77 GHz radar family of high-resolution radar systems to meet the standards of the global 5-star NCAP car safety programmes. The safety systems supplier is extending the 77 GHz radar family from the corner radars currently in production to forward-looking and highly innovative satellite radars, enabling radar-based object detection all around the car. Autoliv has also showcased Monovision, StereoVision, and Night Vision driver-assist systems that can help drivers better detect objects, animals, and humans in the night or in conditions of fog and smoke.
