Aurea announces a strategic reorganization project for Regeal (Metals & Alloys Division) to take account of developments in the aluminum alloys market.

Aurea has decided to implement a new industrial organization for its Regeal site, including the cessation of the production of aluminum alloys in ingot form, which was insufficiently profitable, and the refocusing of the site on the production of aluminum alloys in sow form (800-kilogram cast 'loaves' of recycled aluminum intended for remelting), for which outlets are clearly better oriented, as well as on production for third parties ('tolling').

The company has also decided to adapt its workforce to the volume of business, i.e., to reduce personnel costs through a Plan de Sauvegarde de l'Emploi (job-saving plan), which could lead to the loss of jobs.

This project is subject to a consultation procedure with the Comité Social et Economique (CSE).
