Asset Management One Co., Ltd. agreed to acquire 49.9% stake in PayPay Asset Management Corporation from ASTMAX Co., Ltd. (TSE:7162) on July 29, 2022. For the year ended March 31, 2022, PayPay Asset Management Corporation reported Net worth of ¥131 million, Total assets of ¥509 million, Operating income of ¥-281 million, Net income of ¥-280 million, and revenue of ¥977 million. The acquisition is expected to be closed on August 1, 2022.
Astmax Co Ltd is a holding company. The Company operates in four business segments through its subsidiaries. The Asset Management segment is performing fund of funds business that invests in hedge funds, private equity funds, and venture capital fund management business that invests in venture companies. It also focuses on the funded long-term asset formation business for individual investors.
