(MT Newswires) -- Marc Rowan, CEO of Apollo, believes that to generate alpha, you need to look to private markets, as it is increasingly difficult for active managers to beat indices in public markets, as they are highly indexed and correlated, with much of the volume and markets dominated by ETFs, and the majority of returns come from a small number of stocks. He explains that liquidity is a relative risk, and that private markets are no riskier than public ones.
