TOKYO January 18, 2012 - ANA, which in September 2011 became
the first airline in the world to receive delivery of the new
Boeing 787, and which is currently the only airline in the
world operating commercial flights with the aircraft, today
announces it will be introducing 787s specially fitted out
for domestic flights.(*1). These aircraft are fitted with 335
seats, 12 in Premium Class (*2) and 323 in Economy Class.
On these aircraft, ANA will also be introducing newly
designed seats in Economy Class. These new slim, light-weight
seats will give passengers more legroom compared to existing
Economy Class seats on domestic flights.
Following on from our routes in fiscal 2011 launched between
Haneda and the destinations of Okayama, Hiroshima, Itami,
Yamaguchi-Ube and Matsuyama, ANA plans to introduce further
routes between Haneda and the airports of Fukuoka, Kumamoto
and Kagoshima in the first half of fiscal 2012. In the second
half of the year, ANA will continue to introduce new domestic
destinations as well as international services for the 787 as
we take new deliveries of the aircraft. ANA hopes that all of
our passengers will look forward to enjoying comfortable
flights with ANA's growing 787 fleet.
