The deadline for entry is March 25, 2011.

?As a utility that works with a precious natural resource every day, we are delighted to recognize young people who are making a difference in protecting and preserving the natural beauty of their communities, and encouraging others to do the same,? said Kentucky American Water President Cheryl Norton. ?We look forward to reviewing this year's entries.?

The company established the Ripple Effect Scholarship Program in 2002. Since that time, a total of $39,000 in scholarship funds have been awarded to 62 Central Kentucky students.
