Ambra S.A. announced consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and year ended June 30, 2016. For the quarter, the company announced net sales revenue was PLN 51,745,000 compared to PLN 47,051,000 a year ago. Loss on sales was PLN 1,233,000 compared to PLN 2,566,000 a year ago. EBIT was PLN 433,000 compared to PLN 2,500,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was PLN 1,301,000 compared to loss before tax of PLN 1,795,000 a year ago. Net profit was PLN 1,494,000 compared to net loss of PLN 1,483,000 a year ago.
For the year the company announced net sales revenue was PLN 241,501,000 compared to PLN 240,102,000 a year ago. EBITDA was PLN 19,352,000 compared to PLN 20,076,000 a year ago. EBIT was PLN 11,262,000 compared to PLN 10,986,000 a year ago. Net profit was PLN 14,048,000 compared to PLN 13,743,000 a year ago. Earnings per share was PLN 0.56 compared to PLN 0.55 a year ago. Net cash flows from operating activities were PLN 24,004,000 compared to PLN 42,246,000 a year ago. The increase of EBIT and net profit reflects, among other things, implemented cost optimization. Diluted book value per share was PLN 8.40 compared to PLN 8.35 a year ago. Profit before tax was PLN 16,094,000 compared to PLN 16,054,000 a year ago. Net cash flows from operating activities was PLN 24,004,000 compared to PLN 42,246,000 a year ago. Return on equity was 6.6% compared to 6.5% a year ago.
Ambra SA is a Poland-based company engaged in the production, import and distribution of wines and non-alcoholic beverages in Central and Eastern Europe. It offers wines, sparkling wines, vermouths, mineral water and fizzy drinks, among others. The Company's offer includes such brands as Dorato, Cin&Cin, Faber, Gran Cazzano, Michelangelo, Canelli and Piccolo, among others. Additionally, the Company is engaged in importing alcoholic beverages manufactured by third parties. As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated 13 subsidiaries, based in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania. On June 26, 2013, the Company merged with its subsidiaries, Centrum Wina-Dystrybucja Sp. z o.o. and Capricorn Investments.
