Atos announced on Tuesday that it had entered into negotiations with ALTEN to sell its Worldgrid business to the French IT and engineering specialist for a binding enterprise value of 270 million euros.

Worldgrid, which provides consulting and engineering services to companies in the energy and utilities sector, currently employs around 1,100 people and generated sales of around 170 million euros in 2023, Atos said in a statement.

"Worldgrid is a unique company whose know-how and expertise are universally recognized. Its positioning would strengthen and complement that of ALTEN in the energy and utilities sector," says ALTEN CEO Simon Azoulay in the release.
