Tomorrow in Paris, Google will inaugurate a brand-new 'hub' entirely dedicated to artificial intelligence and open to the entire French AI ecosystem, the French Ministry of the Economy announced on Wednesday.

This laboratory on rue d'Amsterdam (9th arrondissement), which will eventually bring together more than 300 researchers and engineers, will house the development teams for the Chrome web browser and YouTube video-sharing site, Bercy said in a statement.

The aim is to accelerate the development of AI-based products in France, to foster new academic and research partnerships, and to train French professionals in AI tools", explains the ministry.

For Bercy, this investment by Google in France is a further demonstration of France's attractiveness to 'tech' companies, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence.

The inauguration will be attended by Bruno Le Maire, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, and Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet and Google

Marina Ferrari, Secretary of State for the Digital Sector, and Valérie Pécresse, President of the Ile-de-France Regional Council, will also take part in the event.
