CORAL SPRINGS, Florida, January 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

Larger than normal crowds attended this year's CES 2015 Event in Las Vegas that included everything from Smart Wallets, 3D printing, Wearables and so much more. Hundreds of prominent companies attended include tech leaders: NXT-ID, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXTD), Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL), Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) and Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. (NYSE: BABA).

NXT-ID, Inc. (NASDAQ:NXTD) and (NXTDW), a biometric authentication company focused on the growing mobile commerce market, reports on the 2015 CES debut of the Wocket(TM) smart wallet.

Gino Pereira, CEO of NXT-ID said: " 'Pepcom's Digital Experience!', a technology focused media event on Monday night, kicked off a flurry of media coverage and interest in the Wocket(TM) that was followed by a packed booth from the moment the doors opened on the first day of the CES show. This clearly demonstrates that secure payment technology and identity theft protection are huge issues for 2015." He also noted: "The two performances by master pickpocket and entertainer Apollo Robbins was a big draw for attendees. Apollo used his skills to show how easily a wallet can be stolen and how potentially everyone needs a Wocket(TM) to protect their credit cards and identity."

NXT-ID also just launched a new consumer website in conjunction with the 2015 CES debut of the Wocket(TM) smart wallet. The new consumer website, http://www.wocketwallet.com, shows viewers some typical Wocket(TM) transactions and shows how secure and easy it is to use. Wocket(TM) owners identify themselves through voice biometrics or a PIN, select the debit card, credit card or loyalty card of choice, make a transaction and once it is completed, the Wocket(TM) card is "zeroized" with all personal information erased. Gino Pereira, CEO of NXT-ID said, "I'm excited to announce the next step in a series of milestones for 2015 for our Company. Our new website visually demonstrates to consumers very simply what our Wocket(TM) smart wallet is and how it works. As part of introducing a new disruptive payment and security technology, we need to show consumers how easy it is to replace their existing wallet with a Wocket(TM) and a single card. By understanding Wocket(TM) functions and features, it becomes clear why consumers need a Wocket(TM) and how Wocket(TM) acts as their personal vault in a time of unprecedented breeches of personal information."

The International CES (Consumer Electronics Show(R)) is the world's gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. It's where business gets done: on the show floor, in and around our conference program, in impromptu connections and in planned meetings and special events.

At CES this year, iDevices, along with Schlage and Chamberlain announced three new devices that will be compatible with Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) HomeKit. Announced in 2014, HomeKit is Apple's attempt to organize the often disjointed world of home automation. iDevices and Schlage's products will be available later this year, and Chamberlain will update its device with HomeKit as it becomes available.

Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) unveiled a home-audio service so people can stream music in their homes using smartphones, broadening the company's effort to become a hub for digital entertainment. The new service, called Google Cast for audio, works when people tap a button on their smartphone and choose a home speaker that has the same embedded technology to stream music through, according to Rishi Chandra, director of product management.

Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), which significantly scaled back its presence at CES a few years ago, was back at the world's biggest technology conference this week, but not in the way you might expect. Microsoft is showing off its Surface NFL tablet that's being used by professional football players and coaches on the sidelines. On Sunday afternoon, Microsoft had a small booth set up at the CES Unveiled press event, which features more than 100 companies - mostly startups - that are demonstrating their new products.

Over four days of CES, brands, markets and economies converge in what's far more than a tradeshow. Alibaba.com (NYSE: BABA) attended the CES 2015 exhibiting its Marketplace. For more info visit: http://www.alibaba.com/showroom/ces-2015.html
