FRANKFURT, May 21 (Reuters) - Mid-market investment bank DC Advisory on Tuesday opened an office in Vienna as part of its international expansion, hiring a team of Alantra bankers to launch the effort, DC Advisory told Reuters.

The opening of DC Advisory Austria will be led by managing directors Klaus Vukovich and Alexandra Nagle.

The pair previously worked together as co-founders of Alantra's Austrian and central and eastern European business. Luka Simoneti and Lucas Bojdunyk will also move over from Alantra as part of the team.

Vukovich and Nagle also worked together before at UniCredit, as global co-heads of corporate finance advisory and the consumer retail practice respectively.

DC Advisory has around 700 bankers in 24 locations globally, following significant investment from parent company Daiwa Securities Group.

As part of its recent expansion, DC Advisory acquired IBI Corporate Finance in Ireland in November 2023, launched a Benelux office in 2022, and opened DC Advisory Thailand in 2021.

"We've gained a well established group with a strong reputation in the market at a time where we're seeing increasing M&A opportunities in the regions for our global private equity and corporate clients," said Stefan Jaecker, CEO, DC Advisory Germany and regional head.
