ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE APPROVAL OF
PARTICIPATION IN INVESTING
IN THE NATIONAL GREEN DEVELOPMENT FUND
Agricultural Bank of China Limited (the "Bank") published the Announcement on External Investment on 16 July 2020. The Bank has recently received the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission's Approval in relation to Agricultural Bank of China's Participation in Investing in and Establishing the National Green Development Fund Co., Ltd. (Yin Bao Jian Fu [2021] No. 321), that the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission has approved the Bank's participation in investing in the National Green Development Fund Co., Ltd. (the "National Green Development Fund"). The Bank will participate by investing RMB8 billion in the National Green Development Fund, which shall be paid by instalments.
The investment is an important way for the Bank to serve the construction of national ecological civilization and real economy, and will be beneficial to the Bank in accelerating the construction of a green bank, integrating the concept of green development into the Bank's development strategies, and continuously promoting the development of the green finance business.
