Africa Energy Corp. announced that drilling has commenced on the Brulpadda-1AX re-entry well on Block 11B/12B, offshore South Africa. The Brulpadda Prospect has resources of more than 500 million barrels, with significant follow on potential. Drilling of the well will take approximately 85 days and has a budget of $154 million. Total is the operator and has a 45% interest in Block 11B/12B, while Qatar Petroleum and Canadian Natural Resources have 25% and 20% interests, respectively.
