(Alliance News) - AFC Energy PLC on Monday said it had received an order from Niftylift (UK) Ltd.

The Cranleigh, England-based provider of hydrogen power generation technologies reached an agreement to supply the mobile elevated work platforms manufacturer from Milton Keynes with S Series fuel cell modules.

Niftylift, one of Europe's largest MEWP manufacturer, intends on integrating the modules into its Hydrogen-Electric range before assessing opportunities to scale the fuel cells into larger platforms.

The agreement will see AFC design and then supply modules packaged specifically for Niftylift in early 2025.

AFC Chief Executive Officer Adam Bond said: "The agreement builds on our H-Power Generator offering by opening new opportunities for system integration with heavy plant and equipment. Combining the volume of fuel cell modules deployed in H-Power Generators with new partners such as Niftylift, builds on the economies of scale available through our supply chain, driving down costs to end users."

AFC shares were up 5.1% to 21.43 pence each in London on Monday afternoon.
