The Board of Directors of AENA, SME, SA, at its meeting held on 19 December 2017, has agreed the dismiss with effect from 15 January 2018, to Matilde García Duarte as non-Director Secretary of the Board of Directors of the company. The company appointed Juan Carlos Alfonso Rubio as non-Director Secretary of the Board of Directors of the company with effect from 15 January 2018, who accepts his appointment with effect from the same date. The company appointed Matilde García Duarte as non-Director Deputy Secretary of the company with effect from 15 January 2018, who accepts her appointment with effect from the same date.
Aena S.M.E., S.A. is specialized in the management of 46 airports and 2 heliports located in Spain. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- provision of airport services (54.9%): air traffic management (283.2 million passengers and 1,079,676 tons of cargo transported in 2023), security services, intermodal transport and terminal management, assistance, aircraft and baggage handling, passenger screening and transfer, ticketing, etc.;
- operating of shops and restaurants (30.4%);
- other (2.1%): operation of car parks, management of property (land, warehouses, hangars, etc.).
The remaining sales (12.6%) concern activity on the international stage (21 airports managed in Europe and Latin America).
