AdvanSix Appoints Farha Aslam as New Independent Member of its Board of Directors, Audit Committee, Compensation and Leadership Development Committee

AdvanSix announced the appointment of Farha Aslam as a new independent member of its board of directors. Aslam is currently Managing Partner of Crescent House Capital. Aslam will serve on the audit committee and the compensation and leadership development committee of the board of directors. Prior to founding Crescent House Capital in 2019, Aslam covered the agribusiness sector for nearly two decades as an analyst for Merrill Lynch & Co. and Stephens Inc. At Stephens Inc., she led the firm’s Food and Agribusiness equity research team as Managing Director. Previously, Aslam was a vice president at Merrill Lynch and a risk management advisor at UBS. She also currently serves as a director at Green Plains Inc., Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation, and Calavo Growers Inc.
AdvanSix Inc. is a diversified chemistry company. It produces essential materials for its customers in a variety of end markets and applications, including building and construction, fertilizers, agrochemicals, plastics, solvents, packaging, paints, coatings, adhesives, and electronics. Nylon 6 is a polymer resin, which is a synthetic material used by its customers to produce fibers, filaments, engineered plastics and films. Caprolactam is the monomer used in the production of Nylon 6 resin. Its ammonium sulfate is used by customers as a fertilizer containing nitrogen and sulfur, two key plant nutrients. It manufactures, markets, and sells a number of other chemical intermediate products, such as phenol, alpha-methyl styren, cyclohexanone, 2-pentanone oxime, cyclohexanol, sulfuric acid, ammonia and carbon dioxide.
