ACNB BANK ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR NEW UPPER ADAMS OFFICE

GETTYSBURG, PA, January 12, 2022 --- ACNB Bank has finalized plans to build a full-service community banking office from the ground up in Adams County, PA, following the purchase of a 3.4 acre parcel of land located on Biglerville Road, Biglerville, PA, and the receipt of necessary municipal and bank regulatory approvals.

The new ACNB Bank office will be situated near other amenities in Biglerville---including grocery store, pharmacy, variety store, gas pumps, car wash and restaurants---that are all conveniently located in this hub of business and school activities for Upper Adams residents. Plus, the site of this new community banking office is along the major driving and commuting route between Upper Adams and Gettysburg.

The newly-constructed ACNB Bank office on Biglerville Road will offer enhanced services and conveniences including ample parking, multiple drive-up teller lanes, drive-up ATM, and extended banking hours including Saturdays. Also of significance, the Bank will be deploying new design concepts in this office lobby with the goal of streamlining and improving the customer experience. Further, commercial, residential mortgage and consumer loans, as well as wealth management services, will be accessible through this new office location.

We continue to see locally a trend evident across the country---and recently amplified by the effects of the pandemic---with customers utilizing electronic services much more frequently and making fewer visits to an office to conduct banking transactions. The plan for a new, full-service community banking office in Upper Adams is the result of the Bank's most recent assessment," said James P. With the construction of the new community banking office on Biglerville Road, the plan is to consolidate the three current ACNB Bank offices in the Upper Adams geography to the new location in the fall of 2022. This includes relocating the current Biglerville Office at Kennie's Marketplace to the new building to be situated in an adjacent parcel and permanently closing the community banking offices in nearby Arendtsville and Bendersville. All staff members currently working in the three transitioning offices will be given priority to work at the new Upper Adams Office or to pursue other employment opportunities within the organization.

Mr. Helt also stated, "ACNB Bank is excited to build this new, full-service community banking office on Biglerville Road to meet the financial needs of both existing and future customers in the Upper Adams area. While the individual offices in Arendtsville, Bendersville and Biglerville have served ACNB Bank well for many years, we are unable to provide a number of desirable and often requested banking services ---such as a drive-up ATM and multiple teller drive-uplanes---from these existing locations simply due to physical constraints. Throughout its 165-year history, ACNB Bank has engaged in a variety of similar construction projects whenever it saw the opportunity and merit to invest in local communities. This project, with planned costs of more than $2 million, represents a continuation of that longstanding commitment to local investment."

the opening of the Biglerville Office in 1984 and the acquisition of The Bendersville National Bank in 1987. This tradition of serving the Upper Adams community continues with the construction of the new, full- service community banking office on Biglerville Road with a targeted completion date in the fall of 2022.

In the interim, ACNB Bank will permanently close the current Biglerville Office located at 3459 Biglerville Road at Kennie's Marketplace on Friday, February 25, 2022, and will operate a temporary banking facility on the new building construction site at 3425 Biglerville Road beginning Monday, February 28, 2022. The transition for the community banking offices in Arendtsville and Bendersville will coincide with the opening of the new Upper Adams Office in the fall of 2022.
