Columbia City, IN - 1st Source Bank held an official grand opening and ribbon cutting today at its new location at 630 Countryside Drive in Columbia City, across from the Kroger Plaza.

Participating in the ribbon cutting were Chris Murphy, 1st Source CEO; Jim Seitz, 1st Source President; Larry Mayers,

1st Source Regional President; Deb Moser, 1st Source Regional Sales Manager; Cari Wells, Banking Center Manager; Amy Matchett, Banking Center Operations Manager; Mayor Ryan Daniel and Doug Brown, Executive Director of the Whitley County Chamber of Commerce.

The grand opening celebrated the new free-standing banking center, which replaced the bank's former location in the Walmart Supercenter. The new banking center is larger in size and has many customer conveniences including a drive-up window and ATM, night deposit, plus expanded morning hours starting at 7:00 a.m.

The new banking center also includes a coffee station and a business center for clients who need to use a fax machine, shredder, or computer while taking care of their banking. Clients also enjoy side by side banking, in which the traditional teller walls are removed to allow them to see exactly what the teller sees during their transaction.

"We've received so many positive comments about the look of the new banking center and the many conveniences it offers," said Wells. "Clients are especially enjoying the new drive-up and extended hours."

To celebrate the grand opening, Cari Wells, 1st Source Banking Center Manager, presented Dave Addison, Whitley County Purdue Extension Director, with a $500 donation for Whitley County 4-H.

Area residents are encouraged to visit the banking center to enter a prize drawing to win one of four Whitley County Chamber Bucks gift certificates, redeemable at many local stores, restaurants and businesses.
