Export inspections for U.S. corn have risen from last week, although remain behind this time last year.

In its latest grain export inspections report, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said corn export inspections totaled 622.841 metric tons for the week ended Feb. 16. That's up from 563,448 tons reported last week, but well down from 1.58 million tons reported at this time last year.

The pace for corn export inspections continues to lag behind last year's pace, with only 13.73 million tons inspected--which is down nearly 37% from last year.

Soybean and wheat inspections both fell below their totals from last week--at 1.58 million tons and 373,429 tons, respectively.

China was the leading destination for U.S. soybeans and wheat this week, while Mexico was again the leading destination for corn.

Grain futures trading on the CBOT Tuesday are mixed, with most-active corn futures virtually unchanged, soybeans up 0.8%, and wheat down 1.2%.
