Why on earth does anybody invest in stocks or gold? There is a much better alternative with an enormous guaranteed result. During the last 25 years, between 1980 and 2015, that investment brought in an annual return of 14.2%, when the S&P 500 showed only an 8.65% real return and gold 1.9%. That miraculous investment is called the Hermes Birkin bag. It is worth about 150.000 pounds or 180.000 euros. If you find one; which is not absolutely given!!!.

Everybody who is somebody wants a bag like that. The Baghunter site says that it is “A status symbol for the elite and ultra-rich, the main factor affecting the secondary market for Birkins is desire. The exclusivity of the bag along with the difficulty in purchasing one, brand new from Hermes, means that 2016 begins with demand far outweighing supply.” The latter sentence is an extraordinary definition of stocks and companies. Desire is the key factor of buying and selling. Profit increase in value, everything is here.

I wish that listed companies had the same story to tell. Alas! It is not the case.

If you can afford it go to Hermes, order a bag, and be happy.
