Stella Yang

Ms. Yang joined Texas Pacific Group Ventures in July 2006 as an investment principal with extensive investment banking and direct investment experience in China.
Prior to joining TPG, Ms. Yang was a Partner of Reed Elsevier Ventures, the investment arm of the world?s largest publishing group and 5th largest media group, where she led the formulating and implementing of China investment strategy focused on media and technology.
She also partnered with senior executives of the corporate and business units to develop and execute joint investment endeavors with strategic perspective in China.
From 1999 to 2005, Ms. Yang was an Executive Director and a member of the Management Committee of ChinaEquity Investment Co., an active privately-owned venture capital firm in China, where she had primary responsibility for the operations of investment, advisory and fund management businesses.
She led investments in a number of early-stage and expansion capital transactions in TMT sectors, and was actively involved in portfolio management.
Ms. Yang also led a cross-functional corporate finance team facilitating private placement, IPO and M & A transactions across multiple industries including pharmaceutical, machinery, consumer electronics, infrastructure, manufacture, transportation, semiconductor, etc.
She actively advised a number of domestic and international companies on corporate strategy, business development and financing initiatives.
Prior to joining ChinaEquity, Ms. Yang was with Morgan Stanley Asia Ltd.
for three years and was involved in IPO, privatization and M & A of Chinese state-owned enterprises and financial institutions, and co-ordination of government and investor relations.
Ms. Yang holds a BA degree from Nanjing University and an MBA degree from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
