Scott Brown, Partner, founded New Energy Capital (NEC) in 2004 and has served as its CEO, overseeing all aspects of company formation, deal origination, execution, and management for NEC, a Victory Capital Investment Franchise.
Earlier in his career, Scott served as the founding Executive Vice President at Solar Cells, Inc. (now First Solar), the President of Glasstech Solar, Inc. (a manufacturer of semiconductor equipment for the solar industry), and consultant to venture capital firms and state agencies on renewable technologies and markets.
From 1998-2005, Scott was a member of the Advisory Council of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory of the U.S.
Department of Energy.
Prior to his career in the renewable energy industry, Scott was a consultant at Bain & Company.
Scott is a graduate of Dartmouth College (BA in Mathematics and Russian Studies) and Harvard Law School (JD).
