Her passion for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture developed in 2003, when she participated in a joint program between Tufts and Universidad de Autónoma in Madrid.
After graduating from Tufts in 2005, she packed her bags to travel and work in Ecuador and Peru, where she volunteered at a girls' orphanage, translated on PAMS medical missions, worked as publicist of Madre Tierra, an Eco-lodge in Ecuador, and started a bilingual literary magazine with the artisans of Vilcabamba, Ecuador.
She enjoys traveling, running, cooking, reading and ice cream.
