Rotterdam Mr Verveen has built up large experience in food and non-food retail in various management functions, amongst others with Aldi, food wholesaler Kraan en Van Kuyk, the drugstore chains Dirx Drogisterijen and Schlecker.
During the nineties he was managing director of retail chain Halfords (bicycles and car accessories), a subsidiary of Macintosh Retail Group.
