(TK: 8306, ADR: MTU) in Japan. Established in 1983 as KOKUSAI Investment Trust Management Co., Ltd., they became KOKUSAI Asset Management Co. Ltd.in 1997 when KOKUSAI Investment Trust Management Co. and KOKUSAI Investment Management Co. merged. The firm is located in Tokyo and provides investment advisory and investment trust management services. A large part of their clientele consists of retail investors, especially retirees. The firm delegates the management of some of their portfolios to external managers. The firm's products are distributed through the parent group's network of banks, as well as through other commercial banks in Japan.
