Profile

Mr. El-Asmar is a Managing Director of Corsair and serves as a member of the Infrastructure Investment Committee.
Having joined Corsair’s London office in 2009, he relocated to New York in 2016.
Mr. El-Asmar is responsible for leading Business Development and Product Solutions for Corsair’s Infrastructure business.
Mr. El-Asmar has extensive experience in sourcing and managing limited partner relationships across North America, Europe and Asia for Corsair’s Buyouts and Infrastructure vehicles.
Prior to joining Corsair, Mr. El-Asmar supported Babcock & Brown in managing its infrastructure-focused private equity fund, and took a leading role in the origination and execution of real assets investments in Central and Eastern Europe.
Mr. El-Asmar also worked in Investment Banking at HSBC and then Deutsche Bank, and focused on advising companies on cross-borders acquisitions and public market transactions.
Mr. El-Asmar holds a B.A.
in Economics from the American University of Beirut and a MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics with high distinction.
