Kimberly Collins

Dr. Collins, Ph.D., is a Research Director in Gartner Research, where she is research area leader for the technology-enabled marketing team.
Her research focuses on CRM and marketing strategies, as well as enabling technologies with a primary focus on marketing resource management strategies and technologies.
Dr. Collins has more than 16 years of research experience, including two academic post-doctoral appointments.
Before her current position on the CRM team, she was part of the Financial Services Research Group at Gartner, covering CRM and marketing strategies and enabling technologies in the financial services industry.
Her research experience and expertise include database marketing, campaign management, customer analytics and lead management.
Prior to joining Gartner, Dr. Collins worked for a research company and conducted a variety of syndicated and proprietary research on the use of IT in financial services, including customer database and marketing systems, remote electronic banking and general trends in the financial services industry.
Dr. Collins earned a bachelor's degree with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a doctorate in developmental psychology with a minor in behavioral neuroscience from Indiana University.
She held two post-doctoral appointments, one at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and one at Duke University.
