Mr. von Meister is a Senior Vice President in the High Yield Research Department of Jefferies & Company, Inc. Working closely with Jefferies’ distressed trading group, Mr. von Meister’s focus is on the debt of distressed industrial companies, and on special situations.
Mr. von Meister has over 16 years of experience as a generalist focusing on distressed securities, turnarounds and special situations.
Prior to joining Jefferies, he was an independent sell side analyst and portfolio manager with T.R.
Winston & Company.
There Mr. von Meister provided financing for distressed companies, managed client portfolios and marketed his research to institutional accounts.
He began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette as a broker in the Investment Services Group.
Mr. von Meister received BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado in 1982.
He earned his CFA designation in 1992.
