Daniel Bouie was named Principal, GM Ventures effective November 1, 2021 and operates from GM’s Silicon Valley offices.
Prior to this appointment, Daniel was part of GM’s Research & Development organization in Silicon Valley since 2018.
In this role Daniel worked closely with venture-backed companies and research institutions to identify and develop technologies of interest to General Motors.
Before joining GM, Daniel worked in AR / VR technologies as part of HP’s Immersive Computing Group and held several positions at Microsoft / Nokia developing mobile phone technology and the app economy.
Earlier in his career Daniel focused on electricity generation and energy policy with multiple roles at a large public utility and the U.S.
Department of Energy.
Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Daniel is also a Registered Professional Engineer in California.
