MaxLinear, Inc. announced that its MxL3705 gigabit MoCA2.0™ bonded solution is being used in Zyxel's EMG6765 router and WAP7205 Wi-Fi adapter. As service providers offer gigabit broadband speeds to their subscribers, they need to ensure all that bandwidth is reliably distributed throughout the home. With MoCA 2.0 integrated into Zyxel's EMG6765 router and WAP7205 Wi-Fi adapter, service providers can use already installed coax cables as a MoCA backbone to extend gigabit broadband to every corner of the home.

Using MoCA as a wired backbone is the most reliable and cost effective way to deploy multiple Wi-Fi access points to ensure gigabit coverage and speed. With Zyxel's EMG6765 router, service providers can easily add a MoCA network to subscribers' homes without having to change the existing customer premise equipment (CPE) modems. The WAP7205 MoCA-to-Wi-Fi extender can then be connected to any coax outlet to increase wireless coverage and performance throughout the home and keep customers satisfied.
